Audible Magic Unveils Live TViD Service for "Connected" Home Entertainment Market - Cuts Deal with Miso
Audible Magic, a pioneer and consistent innovator in automated content recognition (ACR) technologies and services, today introduced the Live TViD service, a capability that enables CE manufacturers, broadcasters and companion screen applications developers to identify live, never-before-seen content as it airs in applications for smart TV, smart phones, tablets, and other devices.Based on Audible Magic's patented digital fingerprinting technology used by more than 200 companies worldwide, the Live TViD service offers organizations planning to capitalize on new revenue opportunities in the fast emerging 'connected' home entertainment market several distinct benefits.
These include the abilities to:
• Recognize shows broadcast live on TV in as few as 3 seconds
• Recognize content even if viewing is time-shifted
• Make accurate identifications even when "talk over" or other ambient noise is present
• Identify content from more than 150 channels
• Identify commercials viewers are watching
• Pinpoint to the exact video frame where a viewer is during a show
Audible Magic will be demonstrating the Live TViD service along with its other products and services at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas between January 10 and 13. The company's booth, #73507, will be located in the CES Eureka Park Tech Zone in the Bellini Ballroom of the Venetian Hotel.
Audible Magic also announced that Miso will be showing demonstrations of the Live TViD service. Miso announced it will have an early release of their app with Live TViD built-in, which will be demonstrated in Audible Magic's booth.
"Audio content recognition is another exciting way for Miso to deliver synchronized second screen experiences," said Somrat Niyogi, Founder & CEO of Miso. "With Audible Magic as a major addition to the Miso platform, users anywhere will be able to enjoy their favorite shows in a new way."blog comments powered by Disqus
"It's abundantly clear that automated content recognition, and particularly digital fingerprinting, is essential to turning the vision of the truly connected home entertainment environment into a tangible - and valuable - reality," noted Audible Magic Marketing VP Jay Friedman. "Without ACR, it will be much more difficult to deliver the social TV, interactive advertising, and other applications we're all buzzing about these days. ACR is - in the classic sense - a true enabling technology, and Live TViD is one of the services that will enhance its value."
