Audible Magic, a leader in automated content recognition (ACR) services and solutions, and yap.TV, which offers a rich and varied second-screen social TV experience for viewers, today announced that yap.TV will integrate Audible Magic's SmartSync ACR solution into its popular technology platform. The updated application is set to launch later this calendar quarter.
This agreement, one of several Audible Magic has announced in the last month, also underscores the growing acceptance of the company's ACR solutions among leading application developers and consumer electronic (CE) device manufacturers in the fast evolving connected TV and smart device markets. For virtually all social TV, interactive advertising, and related applications to fully succeed, the company contends, the ability of multiple devices to recognize aired content — even on live, never-before-shown programs — in real time is essential.
