MIPCube today announces the finalists for its two global competitions, MIPCube Lab and Content 360 which recognize innovative start-up companies and digital creativity.

MIPCube is the two-day networking and live learning experience ahead of MIPTV devoted to the future of TV in all its forms.

MIPCube Lab is the only global start-up competition dedicated to encouraging innovation in the social and connected TV ecosystem. For this second edition, 45 business plans from start-ups from around the world were submitted. The 10 finalists will pitch to a jury of TV executives, successful entrepreneurs and venture capitalists presided by Dr Ralph Eric Kunz, Managing Director of Catagonia.

In addition to the jury's choice, Vivendi, global sponsor of MIPCube, will be awarding one of the start-ups with a special 'coup de coeur' award.

For its 7th edition, Content 360 – the global competition for digital creativity at MIPCube – has received more than 130 projects from 30 countries.

Three finalists were selected in the category "videos that create global buzz", sponsored by MSN. In a quest for the best webseries, MSN has awarded three finalists the sum of €5,000, to produce a pilot that will be presented at MIPCube.

During a 48 hour creative marathon 15 developers, technology innovators and designers will create brand new TV-related applications. The TV Hack Day jury includes executives from Google, Machinima and Fjord, among others.

The winners of these 3 competitions will be announced at the Creative Party, which takes place on Saturday 31 March at the Martinez Hotel. They will also have an opportunity to present their projects to all participants at MIPTV during the Innovation Show, held on Sunday 1 April.
