AT&T Pushing U-Verse to Multiple Devices - TV, Mobile and PC
AT&T is taking aim at the TV world with their latest offering - U-verse Online, which they as saying will make U-verse content available to consumers across multiple screens, including the TV, PC and mobile devices
The freshly rebranded and expanded AT&T Entertainment Web site lets you watch streaming TV shows, movies and video clips on your PC and U-verse Online is open to any online user, offering additional features and account integration for AT&T U-verse TV customers.
In March, AT&T previewed plans to offer U-verse Mobile, a mobile app that will allow U-verse TV customers to download and watch select shows on their Wi-Fi-enabled mobile phones later this year.
IPTV publication Xchange Online noted:
U-verse Online is now also home to a wide range of U-verse TV information (formerly found on the AT&T U-connect site, giving U-verse TV customers a one-stop online destination for details about U-verse TV programming and television events, including channel lineups, On Demand titles, Pay Per View events and interactive U-verse TV apps. Customers can also schedule and manage DVR recordings directly from U-verse Online with U-verse Web Remote Access.
Later this year, AT&T plans to offer U-verse TV customers the ability to log in to U-verse Online for access to more TV content choices and features at no extra charge.
