CaughtOffside.com,
the world’s favourite independent football blog with 6 million monthly visits,
has launched a new mobile service on the fanatix platform.
CaughtOffside.com, highly regarded for providing up to the minute transfer news and an irreverent view on the world of football, has launched the new service exclusively on the fanatix IOS5 platform.
Mark Apostolou, CaughtOffside.com’s Editor in Chief, says:
“We’re really excited to be able to offer this new service to our growing fan base. In a little over 2 years, we’ve grown our audience from around 300,000 monthly visits to over 6 million. As that audience has grown, we’ve seen an accelerating shift to mobile viewing and the launch of our new IOS5 app is the first step to addressing that trend.”
“fanatix provides us with the ideal platform. We were able to leverage the platform features most suitable to our audience – in this case, check-in, live football scores, goal alerts, group messaging and filtered match tweets – and then easily add our own news, photos and video content. We think our users we love it, especially in the build up to Euro 2012.”
Will Muirhead, fanatix CEO, say:
“We’re delighted to be able to provide CaughtOffside.com with this new mobile service. The fanatix platform aims to make it easy for you to connect with other fans whether you’re watching the game on TV, in the stadium or out walking the dog. The new CaughtOffside.com implementation adds their particular view of world football to the mix, which we think will be a hit with the fans.”
