Ooyala has published its quarterly Global Video Index Report (you may have seen some of their findings featured in a recent USA Today cover story). The report is full of insights from Q1 2012 to help you better engage your viewers and earn more money with online video.

Key findings from Ooyala's free report include:

  • From online video to Internet TV. Long-form content—defined as videos longer than 10 minutes—accounted for half of the total time spent watching online video in Q1.
  • Data-driven digital dollars. Our data science team looked closely at Q1 monetization data to uncover key trends and advise on best practices.
  • The iPad effect. Following Apple's March release of the iPad 3, the amount of video watched on tablets jumped 26%.
