Timecode Systems is bringing the ground-breaking Timecode Buddy system to IBC 2012. As the first products to generate world-class accurate timecode with the ability to sync to iOS devices over WiFi, the Timecode Buddy: system is changing the future of timecode and throughput of metadata in film and television.

Timecode Systems’ duo of new timecode hardware products and free iOS digislate app, are together enabling productions to sync picture and sound across all recording formats with absolute simplicity, transparency and precision.

“The Timecode Buddy: system gives sound recordists, mixers and camera operators a cost effective suite of products for their kit bags that can be used on every kind of shoot,” Paul Scurrell, founder of Timecode Systems says. “Whether they’re working with large format TV cameras, DSLR’s or small handheld DV cams, there’s no longer any need to worry about compatibility or swapping kit between jobs.”

The ease of use is impressive but it’s the addition of WiFi connectivity that takes the Timecode Buddy: system into a league of its own.

“For the first time ever, broadcast professionals can stream sample accurate timecode over WiFi to up to 10 iPhones or iPads,” Paul explains. “This means anyone on set with an iPhone or iPad can wirelessly stream and display real-time SMPTE timecode directly from the Timecode Buddy to their iOS device.”

Also on demonstration at stand 9.B20a at IBC is the new Timecode Sync plugin for industry leading logging app, Movie★Slate. From creating accurate timecode stamps to logging sound notes, the collaboration between Timecode Buddy and Movie★Slate allows any member of the production to wirelessly log and slate accurate TOD or TAPE RUN timecode significantly saving time and money in post-production.
