Jenny Fielding, Head of BBC Worldwide Labs and New Digital Ventures has unveiled the advisory board enlisted to select five dynamic start-ups to take part in the first BBC Worldwide Labs programme.
The board will comprise six highly respected visionaries from across the digital and technology world, which between them hold a wealth of experience across digital media, technology, business strategy, entrepreneurship, sales and marketing. There will be three from BBC/BBC Worldwide, including: Fielding, Head of BBC Worldwide Labs and New Digital Ventures, Daniel Heaf, EVP & MD, Digital, BBC Worldwide and Ralph Rivera, Director, BBC Future Media. The three external members will be: Sherry Coutu, Non-exec Director, Angel Investor, Rogan Angelini-Hurll, General Partner, PROfounders Capital and Ezequiel Vidra, Head of Google Campus. Over the next month the panel will sift through the impressive amount of applications, whittling them down to a shortlist of 18, who will be called present in person. Following this stage the finalists will be chosen.
