Apps World London now the biggest apps industry event in Europe

Apps World, the multi-platform apps industry conference and exhibition, is now the biggest event of its type in Europe, following a record attendance at Earls Court 2 this week.

With almost 6000 delegates, 170 exhibitors and over 250 speakers appearing across ten conference tracks, this year’s conference eclipsed all previous Apps World events and set the stage for an exciting run up to Apps World San Francisco 5-6 February.

Apps World founder Ian Johnson said:

“We’re very happy with how this week’s show has gone. The growth we’ve seen around Apps World this year is a clear indication of how rapidly the apps industry is developing in general. Following the success of this show, we’re confident we’ll be able to deliver a bigger and better experience again for 2013.”

The show featured content covering everything from TV apps, mobile marketing and game app development, to enterprise mobility, mobile payments and operator app strategies. The free-to-attend developer tracks were packed with app developers on both days, with the HTML5 track proving particularly popular.

This year was another first for Apps World, with the launch of The Appsters Awards, an awards ceremony celebrating industry innovation and excellence across 12 awards categories. The evening was a successful one for UK app developers, with wins for the BBC’s London 2012 app and Bristol-based developer Mubaloo picking up Best Developer and the overall Appsters Champion 2012 award.

Six Degrees, the team behind the event, are already looking toward an even bigger show for 2013, with over 100 exhibitors already securing their space.
