Beet.tvOn the day that Google announced it's TV adventure, Beet.tv reports that Atlanta-based TV startup Clearleap, is progressing in bringing IPTV to the living rooms by integrating their service with existing cable gear.

The technology by Clearleap has been deployed in more than 40 markets and it delivers a combination of Internet video, local programming and studio content to cable and IPTV.

In an interview during the Cable Show, CEO Jarratt said that one year after launching its Web-to-TV technology, Clearleap is now delivering content and services to more than 10 million video subscribers via deals with half of the top ten cable and TV operators in the United States.

April 2010, NewTeeVee wrote about the release of Clearleap's MyPlaylistTV app, a programming guide application that enable end users to easily search and navigate short-form content on cable TV.
The app was developed in such a manner that users see a continuous stream of content instead of doing searches after each clip of movie is finished.
