YouTube has set out a new format which looks to be a predecessor for Google TV - giving viewers a kick-back, lean-back experience by using keyboard arrow key commands as the sole means of video navigation and selection, apart from playback control. Appropriately called Leanback, the fresh interface is meant to allow you to sit back and control your viewing experience, with a wireless keyboard on your PC or the remote controller with Google TV and it promises to help solve one of the great issues concerning the web's ergonomics issue when moving to the big screen in the living room. We also wrote about this in our coverage of  Google I/O 2010, when Google TV was unveiled. It’s currently in open beta. Check out a short video below, or try out the beta. Wired.com also has some cool coverage of the rollout.
