There are many iPhone applications that turn the device into a TV remote.
Teevox differs in this that it allows users to control Hulu and Netflix watching on your computer.
Teevox is founded by former MIT students Jong-Moon Kim and Andrew Sugaya, funded by Ycombinator as reported by TechCrunch.
One of the unique differentiators is the following, as elaborated by Jong-Moon Kim:
“While there are hundreds, if not thousands of iPhone remote apps.
If you take a closer look, you’ll notice they all require proprietary
hardware (Apple TV, Boxee) or separate software you need to download and
install.”
Meaning that no extra setup is required with Teevox.

Teevox plans to expand to the iPad and other platforms, but no release dates as of yet.
