Teevox Turns Your iPhone Into A Computer TV Remote Control
There are many iPhone applications that turn the device into a TV remote.
Teevox differs in this that it allows users to control Hulu and Netflix watching on your computer.
Teevox is founded by former MIT students Jong-Moon Kim and Andrew Sugaya, funded by Ycombinator as reported by TechCrunch.
One of the unique differentiators is the following, as elaborated by Jong-Moon Kim:
“While there are hundreds, if not thousands of iPhone remote apps.
If you take a closer look, you’ll notice they all require proprietary
hardware (Apple TV, Boxee) or separate software you need to download and
install.”
Meaning that no extra setup is required with Teevox.
The Teevox application has a Twitter and Facebook connection, allowing anyone with an iPhone and an account to start using the remote immediately.
Users and their friends can simultaneously watch shows and communicate about them right away.

The simple instructions are:
1. On your computer, go to http://teevox.com/player and login using Facebook.
2. On your iPhone/iPod, open up the app and login using Facebook.
3.Using your iPhone/iPod, select a TV show to watch.
The video will then play on your computer.
If you run into trouble, email us at helpme@teevox.com and we will get it to work for you.
Teevox plans to expand to the iPad and other platforms, but no release dates as of yet.
