HP launched a site that lists apps they've developed and made available for mobile devices.
GadgetGo reports:
An anonymous source let us know that HP's contest for employee-created apps was open to all and thousands participated. The timeline was fairly short (around a month) and employees were working with the emulator instead of live devices - so the suggested result of 500 apps that run the gamut from 'super-simple' to 'really cool' is actually pretty impressive.

Earlier PreCentral reported:
So far, it sounds like it was a successful initiative to drive awareness inside of HP about webOS. 500 apps isn't a trivial number when you consider that the North American catalog only has some 3400 apps with a healthy number of them being "spam" apps. What we'll see materialize from the depths HP's engineering labs is anyone's guess, but the company is home to a large number of talented engineers. Hopes, they are high.
