AppleI was pleasantly surprised when I read that Apple will stream its 1 September event.

Though, having a closer look at the Media Alert on Apple's website, I found that there's one barrier for a part of the interested people:

Apple® will broadcast its September 1 event online using Apple’s industry-leading HTTP Live Streaming, which is based on open standards.

Viewing requires either a Mac® running Safari® on Mac OS® X version 10.6 Snow Leopard®, an iPhone® or iPod touch® running iOS 3.0 or higher, or an iPad™.

The live broadcast will begin at 10:00 a.m. PDT on September 1, 2010 at www.apple.com.

Other news from the Apple front concerns a possible Netflix streaming on the newly revamped Apple TV: iTV.

Three people with knowledge of the plans claim that Netflix subscribers would be able to access the company's "Watch Instantly" catalogue using iTV, similar to how they do so on gaming consoles and Apple's iOS devices.

Enough rumors, the event takes place tonight, let's await the announcements by Apple.
