The BuddyTV app, available for free download in Apple’s iTunes store as of Sept. 28, is the latest player in the two-screen social TV space along with Miso, Philo, Tunerfish et al. Like other social TV wares, viewers can connect with other fans of their favorite shows, share their thoughts on new and past episodes and see what fellow fans have to say. They have integrated the API's of Twitter and Facebook into their design which is clever - and allows for maximum dissemination via their platform.
"We didn’t want to build just another TV app. We built an app that captures the excitement and emotion of watching TV with fans, friends and family in a virtual viewing party," said Andy Liu, CEO of BuddyTV.
