Vodafone Portugal launches three-screen VoD
Vodafone Portugal has extended its VideoClube video-on-demand service to mobile users.
TelecomPaper reports that it is already available on its IPTV service "Casa TV" and "customers will now be able to
rent films and TV series to watch across all three screens - TV, PC and
mobile."
The service will enable starting to watch a movie on the mobile screen and continue watching it on the television screen.
It will work initially on Vodafone 360, Samsung H1, M1 and Nokia's S60 handsets. Extension to other phones will be available soon. The content offer consists of over 1,000 titles, including several in HD.
IPTV News adds "titles available on the service include recent hits such as Sherlock Holmes, animated films such as Happy Feet, and classics such as Casablanca."
Vodafone Portugal's IPTV service is based on Microsoft's Mediaroom platform.
It offers around 120 linear
channels, including 14 HD channels and one 3D channel.
