Two dollars cheaper than originally announced, Los Angeles-based Hulu, the Internet video streaming site, announced today that it has officially launched its premium service, Hulu Plus. It has come out of the gates at under eight bucks a month... two dollars cheaper than anticipated - and surprised with news that it's also out on multiple CE devices soon.
In a press release today, Hulu added that it's moving towards multiple CE devices for Hulu Plus, including connected TV and Blu-Ray players from Sansung, Sony, LG Electronics, Panasonic, and VIZIO - set-top boxes from Roku, Sony, Tivo, and Western Digital; gaming consoles such as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; and access from Apple's iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
The service will also be avaliable on the Sony Dash. Hulu Plus offers up a wider access to Hulu across devices, and additional premium content not available on Hulu's standard service.
