Starz is launching Transmedia TV series "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" with Facebook game and an iPad app

Starz Transmedia The new season of "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" which premieres on the January the 21st, Starz is giving away an accompanying Facebook game and iPad application. The game will be launched on Thursday, and for the first 10,000 fans registering on its Facebook page can run their own "own Ludus (gladiator school) in the role of Lanista (manager of gladiators) and assemble your team to be fighting champions and do battle in the top arenas of the Roman Empire." 

The iPad app releases Jan. 22  will include a screenplay of the show boosted by "exclusive multimedia video segments," directors’ notes, cast photos and other extras. Although the app is free, scripts will cost 99 cents each.
