Nintendo 3DS Adds a Real Dimension to the Game Experience; Opportunity for Augmented Reality Gameplay

Nintendo 3DS  Back at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), journalists were cynical if the 3D effect would be experienced well and if it would add value to gaming. According to Ben Parr, co-editor for Mashable, new play with Nintendo 3DS at the CES:

The first thing that stands out to us is this: The 3D technology works remarkably well. It’s not a gimmick, but a real dimension that adds to the game experience.

Fighting the dragon in the augmented-reality demo really was a sensational experience that we hope other companies will build upon. It also isn’t as stressful on the eyes as most 3D glasses and screens.

This will open up opportunities for innovative Augmented Reality gameplay on this device.
