Philips Net TV in France to Get MTV
SaveBroadband TV News and the French Press are reporting MTV Networks France launched MTV channels (MTV, MTV Pulse, MTV Base, MTV Idol), Game One (Game One, Game One Music HD) and Nickelodeon (Nickelodeon Nickelodeon Junior) on TVs equipped with Philips Net TV service on Wednesday.
Owners of Philip's Net TV will have access to video content from the channel programs as well as new trailers and the portal will also allow Connected TV viewers to find all the information they need to subscribe to various channels of the group.
From Broadband News:
These connected television portals are primarily intended to showcase the content of the group’s channels. They are also available on the PC on MSN and Dailymotion. MTV Networks France is positioning all its channels as a premium, paid-for product and is using ‘free samples’ of its programming as a promotional tool.
