UK TV station chooses Facebook for network distribution
This is significant and a first foreshadowing of what is coming.
Although a corner case example, having a UK TV content channel decide to use Facebook and Facebook tools for advertising and event management to distribute its live show is a good glimpse of the future.
Apple and Google are in the limelight of fighting for the big TV screen in the living room.
Amazon is lurking in the corner.
Facebook has always been a player in my mind but under the radar for most press.
My take is that Apple and Google and Amazon and Facebook have the cash and firmly planted with one foot in the cloud and one foot in the browser. This is a tech battle ground.
Never a bad idea to bet on the platform with the biggest community.
The storm is a brewing. Can’t wait.
