FOKUS Media Web Symposium - German App Developer Conference Towards Experiencing Integrated Communication and Media

It's been a long time in coming, but finally there seems to be some drive in the app dev community to look at integrating Mobile Applications, Social Media and HybridTV and towards fusing communication and media -  from a technical perspective. For those interested in the space that we are covering here at from a developer's perspective and  more, this is a must-see, must-attend event.

Fraunhofer FOKUS, together with a number of partners and friends has created the the Media Web Symposium 2010 and is inviting  all interested parties of the (mobile and TV) media and content industry to participate.   During these two days, international experts will present and discuss current trends in tutorials, technical workshops, and invited conference presentations.

This event promised to continue the mission to provide a premier information source and technical networking platform for international experts from the related industries and well known academic institutions.

This year’s Symposium with the theme Mobile Applications, Social Media and HybridTV – towards experiencing integrated communication and mediawill take place in Berlin, Germany on November 4 and 5, 2010 in the traditional 2 days setup, featuring tutorials, workshops and a nice social event on day 1 and a full day conference on day 2. Demonstrations and exhibitions from FOKUS and the sponsors will be shown as well to reflect state of the art technologies and services.

The predecessor of this year’s symposium (“The 4th IPTV & Media Convergence Workshop 2009” and “Facing the Technology Landscape beyond Voice”) was attended by an international audience from all over Europe and a significant number of participants from Asia, North/South America, and Africa. The percentage provenance of the attendants was predominantly from industry (media and broadcast, (mobile) network operators, equipment vendors, and CE-vendors.

About the Author

Richard Kastelein
Founder of The Hackfest, publisher of TV App Market and global expert on Media & TV innovation, Kastelein is an award winning publisher and futurist.
