Monterosa ProductionsMonterosa, the award-winning company behind some of the world’s most successful live audience engagement apps, is launching a pioneering B2B store to provide ready-made real-time apps to global media owners and brands.

LViS Store is an initiative aimed at producers and marketers who want to activate fans of entertainment, sport or fashion, in real time, via mobile, TV, out-of-home and in-stadium media, and across Facebook and Twitter.

LViS Store’s turnkey apps include play-along gaming, competitions, voting for talent shows, sports data and ratings, and social-media interaction. They are used around events to activate audiences and drive ROI (return on investment) through data capture, registration, customer acquisition, premium-content sales and sponsorship activation. Apps can be embedded as components in existing apps, within social networks or websites.

Where in the past, developing entirely bespoke experiences was time consuming and creatively risky, LViS Store offers the benefit of ready-made apps, so that media owners and marketing teams don’t have to start from scratch.

Using the JavaScript SDK, developers can either extend existing apps or create their own versions, all of which run on LViS Cloud, the high-volume infrastructure managed by Monterosa's team of engineers.

Tom McDonnell, CEO of Monterosa, said: “LViS Store is a groundbreaking step for global media companies, TV producers and agencies who want to engage their audiences directly in real-time. Before, managing fan interaction at scale involved long timescales and set-up costs. Now you can choose ready-made apps that provide fun, engaging social activations that deliver hard ROI. We think this is game-changing. Our customers can now roll out LViS Apps at a scale and pace we have not seen before."

With smartphone users picking up their handsets an average of 37 times a day, there is growing pressure for media owners and sports-rights holders to retain attention and funnel users into monetised environments.

In 2013, Monterosa launched LViS Studio, which has become the foremost platform for creating and deploying compelling second-screen apps that enhance sport, entertainment and advertising. LViS Studio allows producers and marketers to create real-time mobile activations using TV and social, out-of-home and in-store media, all synchronised in a single, easy-to-use management console located in the studio or OB truck.

Since its launch, LViS Studio, whose licensees include Sky, Channel 4, London Live, TV2, Endemol, CBC and MediaCom, has powered 500 million interactions in 15 countries, and served three number-one App Store apps in the US and UK.

Monterosa is the BAFTA Award-winning company behind Endemol's global hit Million Pound Drop and Channel 4's number-one sports visualisation app Horse Tracker.
