According to a video report from Beet.tv analyst Ian Maude of Enders Analysis told a crowd at a recent London Video Ad Strategy Summit that estimate YouTube will generate about $4 billion in advertising revenue.
“Overall TV viewing is growing, but that’s largely being driven by older people,” Maude added. “We’re seeing a divergence between what the under-35s and over-35s are doing.”
In comparison, the UK's largest commercial broadcaster ITV expects to do less than a quarter of that in 2013. In Q1 of 2013, NBCU did $1.5 million, down from $1.9 million in 2012 during the same period.
